Ian Rowe will deliver an inspirational talk based on his part in an attempt to set a new World Record for rowing across the Atlantic Ocean in a crew attempting to be the first in history to get across the ocean, unsupported, in under 30 days.
The speech will be witty, challenging, exciting and thought provoking – most powerfully it will draw in the whole audience so they feel they are a part of the Atlantic experience and can relate that to their personal and business lives.
The speech will be tailored to the current message of the audience and Ian has a wealth of experience speaking to audiences including C Level conferences, global companies, SMEs, networking groups, charities and schools.
The bespoke nature of the talks makes them more relevant, more powerful and more personal to the audience contrasted against the extreme backdrop of racing across the ocean where choosing your attitude and re-calibrating normal showed that it is indeed ordinary people who do extra-ordinary things.
Where possible Ian will bring his own Ocean rowing boat to events for photo opportunities.

Delivering inspirational and insightful talks and workshops for EU and Government funded initiatives to get young people and longer term unemployed back into work via Work Smart and Fast Track to employment schemes. Ian will deliver an out of the ordinary talk to participants to help them recognise that big challenges can be achieved one small step at a time, similar to rowing an ocean one small rowing stroke at a time.
Bring an inspirational and challenging speaker to your school for both students and staff. Ian will deliver a talk based on the challenges faced as a team and as individuals in the 3,000 mile World Record attempt to row the Atlantic; as with all challenges this takes commitment, desire, passion, resilience and a relentless determination to deliver something for yourself irrespective of the attitudes and performance of those around you. Skills and attributes that transfer directly to the classroom and the staff room.
Ian regularly speaks at Charity events and has supported Sue Ryder, Keech Hospice, Childline, Rotary, Womens Institute, Lady Taverners at regular meetings and annual events. Charity fund raising rows on board our ocean boat can also be arranged. If you have an event or hold regular speaker events then please get in touch:
There are many networking groups across the country ranging from global organisations such as BNI to numerous locally activated groups. Ian will deliver an insightful talk to prompt participants to look at their own extra-ordinary achievements in a different light and understand that ordinary people deliver extra-ordinary things every day – there is no such thing as ‘normal’ life!

We offer other speakers too from Olympic Champions to Concorde and Harrier Jump Jet pilots – ordinary people who have done extra-ordinary things.
‘You were amazing and should have an invitation to speak in every school in the country. Thank you for coming today and being so inspirational.’
‘I’m struggling to find fault with it. You spoke with no notes and perfectly naturally. Your enthusiasm came across perfectly and with modest understatement! I have spoken to a few people who attended the event, each of whom, came away with the thought that it was quite a humbling experience.’
‘I just wanted to say that your talk was brilliant and really makes people think about what’s actually important in life. Hopefully it made some of the people in the room put things into perspective.’
‘Atlantic Experience not only makes you think about what you are doing and why, but how you feel, why you feel that way and even challenges you to think the reasons for that. I now personally use it in almost everything I do, it’s been such a change for me, and I like to think for the better.’
‘I don’t think I’m going to take on the ocean but I am certainly going to assess my activities and decide what I would really like to do next for my pleasure. As you now know, jogging ISN’T going to be one of them but I think I’m going to do the power boat course I keep threatening to take!’
Atlantic Experience is developed from work with Olympic Champions, in business, in schools, from family and from a World Record attempt to row across the Atlantic Ocean.
